Specializing in elevated American cuisine with a distinct focus on premium regional ingredients, this restaurant invites guests to indulge in a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere that feels both elegant and genuine.

Brumley’s menu is a celebration of bold flavors and thoughtful preparation. Start your meal with enticing starters like the Goat Cheese Skillet, which features the delightful balance of creamy goat cheese paired with a subtly sweet cherry apple compote, Muddy Pond honey, and candied pecans, served alongside Mountain View Bakery’s signature salt-risen bread. For something with a punch, the Homestead Pork Rinds dusted in togarashi and accompanied by chimichurri ranch deliver a crispy, flavorful bite.

For the entrée, Brumley’s truly shines in its selection of premium beef options sourced from renowned local farms. The Black Angus Filet, American Wagyu Strip, and the luxurious Premiere American Wagyu Ribeye are all served with classic, hearty sides like baked potatoes, creamed spinach, and whiskey-glazed carrots, striking the perfect harmony between rustic Southern comfort and fine dining elegance.

Desserts at Brumley’s are equally indulgent. The Pecan Pie Baklava, drizzled with honey whiskey syrup and finished with candied pecans, promises a decadently rich finale. Meanwhile, the Classic Crème Brûlée offers a silky custard crowned with candied orange peel and dried cherries, delivering a refreshing twist on a beloved favorite. The Apple Dumpling Skillet with its cinnamon brandy sauce and dumpling streusel evokes cozy, nostalgic warmth, perfect for a comforting sweet treat.

The dining experience at Brumley’s goes beyond the food itself. The elegant setting inside the General Morgan Inn enhances the overall ambiance, making it an excellent choice for everything from romantic anniversaries to memorable brunches with friends. According to diners, the warmth of attentive servers like Cole and Madison elevate each visit, while the homemade bread—especially the Japanese milk burger buns—continues to garner raves for its soft, flavorful texture.

Corey Martin celebrates the perfectly executed lamb chops and pumpkin swordfish, while Karen Collins finds the bar’s burger offerings and service truly exceptional. Even first-time visitors like Kim Cope find themselves eager to return, enchanted by dishes like the lobster roll and crab-stuffed filet.

Cherokee short rib was great but the collard greens, dang we just don’t get that up North, superb! Pecan dessert was great, be sure to add a scoop of I.C. (Pictured)

My husband and I ate brunch at Brumley's several years ago and talked about coming back. When a dear friend was visiting from California, we decided to impress him by making reservations at Brumley's. This beautiful restaurant is inside the very elegant General Morgan Inn. I ordered the Wagu filet, my husband had the roasted chicken, and our friend had the root vegetable lasagna. We all tasted each other's entrees and really had a hard time deciding what tasted best since everything was scrumptious. The zucchini au gratin that came with my steak was something I could easily eat every single day - there was a hint of nutmeg that took it over the tip. My husband declared his chicken the best chicken he has ever had and after tasting it, I would have to agree. Service was very good. At first glance, I thought the prices were pretty expensive, but after tasting the love and care that went into everything we ordered, the prices were on point.

The food is well thought out and cooked to perfection. It was worth the stay just to eat here. The waitress on the third night was not very friendly. The lamb chops, chicken schnitzel, and pumpkin swordfish was phenomenal. Also, the cookie and pumpkin ice and the baklava a real treat. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

We were so pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the food was last night! We ate in the bar area and ordered the burgers. They were FANTASTIC!!! Cole, our waiter, held down the bar area & was great! He shared his recommendations and explained how all breads were made in house. The Japanese milk burger buns were outstanding!! We cannot wait to go back and take our family members with us. Great job, Brumley's!

This was our first time at Brumley's and the food was delicious. Our server,Madison was excellent. We will definitely be back. The pictures are of lobster roll and crab stuffed filet.

Well I made reservations as needed and in the section asking if any specific details about the reservation I mentioned it was 35th Wedding Anniversary Dinner, and when I arrived the host didn’t even hello or anything, I had to tell him we arrived for our 5:30pm reservation gave my name and he looked it up and said follow me. No hello no are you having a good day no nothing. Then the very nice server approached took drink orders and welcomed us. When drinks arrived I mentioned to the server it’s our 35th anniversary. She replied oh my I wish I’d known, nobody told me. I told her I stated it in my reservation. What I’m not happy about is the host and his frumpy attitude at work, his non verbal hello, or even acting as if he didn’t want to be there. I dropped $156.00 on dinner and tipped the waitress very well. I had just expected a little more attention being they promote their restaurant as upscale and personal. So I asked if I could take the leftover appetizer home, sure they replied, I asked for a few more pieces of bread to add to the appetizer because we ate them all and they charged me $5.00 more dollars. For six small pieces of bread. Under my breath I said what in the world is this. I paid it only not to tarnish the evening. Greeneville Tn has issues with good workers as I’ve lived here for 8 years. I shook my head and said this is so typical with this area. If you’ve lived here any amount of time you must know what I mean. I good stars but had to spell out the lack of attention to detail

Had an amazing anniversary dinner! Our waiter Cole gave us some great advice and we enjoyed the goat cheese skillet, onion soup, ribeye, ridge and valley chicken and the creme brûlée. Thanks to the team for a great experience! We will be back to this hidden gem!
